And he said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how. The earth produces by itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. But when the grain is ripe, at once he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”
Newday camps and weekend retreats are annual summer gatherings of youth groups from Confluence churches located in the same region. Students in grades 7-12 will spend half a week together, growing in their relationships with God and building friendships with each other.
The picture of heaven given us in Scripture is of a redeemed people from every tribe, language, people-group and nation worshiping God and delighting in Him forever. God has not just planned this for heaven, it also has implications for our churches here today. Jesus taught us to pray for His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
